Dave,
Thank you for your message and i guess you are feeling very lost and alone at the moment but please belive me when i say listen to these people  on this forum, they all are living with Heart Conditions in some way or another and  they are carrying on with their lives like anybody else, they will help you if you you want to be helped, please please because my Steve died,  it does not mean that you have a sentence hanging over you, and that means you do not have to wait for it to happen.  There is only one sure thing in life after you are born,  and that is that you will die, but only god knows when that time will be not you or me, I had my lucky escape two weeks ago and am here to tell you my dear friend pull those socks up and live, whether its 1 year or twenty years please live to the fullest, my Steve would be telling you the exact same if he could,  so please for his sake learn to live  and let these wonderful people help you with the support they offer, they do not know me from Adam, just Steve's partner, but belive me they have enfolded me into their lives as one of them let them do the same for you.
My Steve would be shaking his head and wanting to e.mail you himself, so its the least I can do for him, and for you.
Don't wait for the inevetable, live life to the best you can, my Steve did, and I have happy thoughts of him doing just that.

Let these people help you Dave. and me if I can in a small way.

Bless your heart dear man,

Regards
Karen.

Later today we travel to Nottingham and tomorrow we say a final goodbye to our dear friend Steve, but it’s also a time to remember all the good things that he lived for and the caring person that he was.

For Steve, a man who although we never had the pleasure of meeting, will always have a special place in our hearts.

God bless.

Kev & Gill.

To My Dear Friends Kev and Gill

Have a safe journey to Nottingham I will be thinking of you paying your respect to our dear friend Steve.  Unfortunately due to staff shortages I cannot attend.

God Bless you Karen, may you find strength tomorrow to say your goodbyes and hope you can find comfort knowing how much we cared for your unique partner.

To Steve's children and all his family God Bless you all, lets hope your fond memories will continue to give you strength to get through these upsetting days.  You have found a wonderful step mum and in return your dad has given her 3 wonderful stepchildren,  hope and pray you all find comfort from each other.

Please keep in touch with us and if you ever need anything or a chat please feel free.

Bless Your Heart

Hello

Having just returned from Steve's funeral today it has been a very humbling experience to say the least.

Wherever Steve is watching from today he can only be very proud of his family indeed! His children we absolutely amazing and Karen is one amazing lady to stand up and share with everyone one of her most precious treasured memories.

Yes there were tears and also laughter. It is easy to see how Kev, Gill and Steve got along so well...... the humour was still shining even through today.....

A very sad day filled with emotion, love and strength that will see Karen and the children through this time.

Hi.

We arrived home a short time ago after attending Steve's funeral yesterday. We stayed with karen, she is one amazing lady with great courage and spirit. It was lovely to have the opportunity to get to know her, we have a friend for life

The service was both personel and very special with readings of poems and verse, Steve would have been so proud of Karen and his children. There were emotions both sad and happy as family and friends celebrated the life of a truly wonderful individual.

Love Kev & Gill xxxx

R.I.P Steven Hart - a Gentleman, a friend, my true love.

Thank you all for your messages on the board regarding yesterday, we gave your friend a truly magnificent send off, it was so calm and refined, the children were wonderful, and we all managed to say our poems the girls wrote there own, and Andrew read the poem about the flower that Steve, had already told you, I read the poem that he sent me for Valentines day this year, we had, mine and steve's song "Evergreen by Barbara Streisland" for him,  when he was carried in by his sons and two dear friends, Andrews choice was, "If we could turn back time by Cher" and of course the next song was The Climb - Joe Mackeldry, and we left the service with "Womans Work - Kate Bush,  whch Steve loved, we could of had so many to choose from,  as you know his music was varied,,  I don't think there was a dry eye in the place, everybody loved Steve so much and I think people are finding it hard to comprehend that he has been taken from us.

I now have Steve back home with me until we can arrange for the scattering of his Ashes,  He can then be free to roam over the hills in Derbyshire his one passion in life was them  there hills.!!!!

I now have to go through my life without him beside me, but I know he is there in spirit, but it seems so unfair, that it had to end like this , we had so many plans for our future, so many places to go too and see, but it will  be just me now,  to carry on and see the places we intended on my own and i keep asking why did this have to happen.?? Of course there is no explanation....

Well now my darling man has been laid to rest, how one recovers from this I do not know, but I know he will come for me when the time is right until then I have to get on with life. But  that is going to be so hard,.

Once again thank you all for your support in this from begining to end, I know Steve would of been overwelmed by the truth of knowing he had so many good friends on this Forum.

I miust just end this with a huge thank you to Kev Gill and Gwen for coming yesterday as you know Kev and Gill have been bricks for me and I thank them.

He has four children to be proud of, they did him proud and Ashley sorted all the arrangments out for his funeral, she is a fantastic girl  as are the other three, and i'm sure Steve is proud of them as well as me, they are a credit to him and the Mums, I love them dearly myself.

I will keep in touch with you every so often but you have my e.mail address karen.burbage@ntlworld.com  I would be honoured if any of you fancy a chit chat from time to time.  I know Rob has some plans up his sleeve, and hopefully I can help him with them, I'm sure he will explain to you all.

your friend
Karen.
